President-Elect Announces Climate Change Priority

President-elect Joe Biden announced on his transition website that climate change is one of his top priorities post inauguration. That news comes as no surprise, given the president-elect’s comments during the campaign, but it is notable that climate change is one of only four areas highlighted as a priority (the others are COVID-19, economic recovery, and racial equity). Additionally, the president-elect announced his agency review teams, including a council on environmental quality. On Tuesday, November 10, Justin Savage, Peter Roskam, Sam Boxerman, Simone Jones, and Allison In discussed how the 2020 election and the president-elect’s focus on climate change may influence the course of environmental law. The presentation (including slide deck) is available here.
